PSALM #43

1Judge me, O God, and plead my cause against an ungodly nation: O deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man.

2For thou art the God of my strength: why dost thou cast me off? why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?

3O send out thy light and thy truth: let them lead me; let them bring me unto thy holy hill, and to thy tabernacles.

4Then will I go unto the altar of God, unto God my exceeding joy: yea, upon the harp will I praise thee, O God my God.

5Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.

 

 

    We live in a world ruled by Satan. Adam used to be the representative and head of this world, but Satan stole that from him. Therefore, he owns this world, and there is so much evil in it. Satan is a deceiver from the very beginning. God said that His law exists for the happiness of all, but Satan said and now says that there is no need for a law, that “freedom” from all laws is needed, and this is terrible. Sin is the transgression of the law of God, and we see the results of sin everywhere. But Satan continues to teach that there is no need for the law, and many self-professed followers of Jesus Christ (from the false churches) also claim that "the law is not needed" and also that "The Bible says so".

    There is order in the universe, because there are laws: the laws of nature and moral laws, therefore, according to God's plan, this brings order and happiness. It’s a pity that they don’t understand this, and in recent times there will be attempts not to abolish the law, but to change it, for example, the fourth commandment about the Sabbath, and it will happen that God’s laws on earth will turn out to be, oddly enough, outside the law.

    Despite this, there have always been people on earth who are faithful to God and the truth - those who worship God in real truth. For example, this was Abel, he did what God said about the sacrifice. It was also Noah who believed God despite the fact that around him, as today, such atheism reigned. And there were many others like them, God's people.

    It must be said that it is very difficult to be faithful to God when almost everyone around is serving Satan, and even more so, such people claim that they are serving God. These are the servants of Baal, and the Pharisees, and Catholics. What judgment is referred to in the first verse of this psalm? About the fact that only God is the real Judge and He decides what is true and what is a lie !

    What do we need today (as well as believers of the past)? Strong faith and the Holy Spirit. Why ? Because in this state of society, when there are few of us, we feel lonely, everyone curses us and laughs at us. But, as it is written in the Scriptures and in the books of Ellen White (reading them is very useful, it is a pity that we have those who do not understand the importance of reading Ellen White as well), God sends His believers not only spiritual light, but also joy. Those who are faithful to God and His promises are joyful, despite the fact that it is very difficult for them, not excluding the danger even for their lives.

    There are conditions to get all this: first of all, we must decide who we serve, and take steps towards (this is our part), and then God will approach us, which means we are going in the right direction to defeat Satan and become perfect people. Jesus said that Satan, the prince of this world, has nothing in Him. But if this was so, then by His power we must come to the state that there is nothing from Him in us, not even one tiny sin.

    But for this we must draw as close as possible to God, to the Holy of Holies of the heavenly sanctuary, where Jesus Christ, our great High Priest, is now. Right now is the time to change yourself, including your thoughts, desires and imagination, habits. Likewise, we must preserve and protect our bodies from everything bad, unhealthy and harmful. And our glorification should be not only in words and on musical instruments, but also in deeds.

    This is our hope - God has promised us salvation and also that we will still glorify Him in the Kingdom of Heaven.
