“I am the
Lord your healer“ (Ex 15.26).

forgives all your iniquities, heals all your diseases” (Ps 102.3).
What was
promised to Israel if they would obey God?
“Therefore
keep the commandments... And the Lord will remove from you all infirmity“ (Deut
7.11-15).
When
Jeroboam's hand became stiff as a result of Jeroboam's disobedience, how was it
then restored?
“And the
king said to the man of God, Have mercy on the face of the Lord your God, and
pray for me, that my hand may turn towards me. And the man of God propitiated
the face of the Lord, and the hand of the king turned towards him, and became
as before” (1 Kings 13.6).
How was

cried out to the Lord, saying, God, heal her!” (Num 12.13).
What
mistake did Asa make when he was seriously ill?
“And Asa
became sick with his feet in the thirty-ninth year of his reign, and his
sickness went up to the upper parts of his body; but in his sickness he did not
seek the Lord, but doctors” (2 Chron 16.12). Going to the doctors is not a sin,
but from the context of the chapter it is clear that Asa acted wickedly and
needed to repent. He didn't. Addition - below, at the end of the article.
How did
Elijah bring the boy back to life?
“And
prostrating himself over the youth three times, he called to the Lord and said:
Lord, my God! may the soul of this child return to him! And the Lord heard the
voice of Elijah, and the soul of this child returned to him, and he revived” (1
Kings 17.21-22).
What was
the answer to Hezekiah's prayer for healing?
“Thus says
the Lord, the God of David your father: I heard your prayer, I saw your tears,
and, behold, I will add fifteen years to your days” (Is 38.5).
“And he said,
If you will obey the voice of the Lord your God, and do what is right in his
sight, and give heed to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, then I
will not bring on you any of the diseases that I brought on Egypt, for I am the
Lord [Your God] is your healer“ (Exodus 15.26).
What kind
of activity made up the bulk of Christ's ministry?
“And Jesus
went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and preaching the gospel
of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every infirmity among the people”
(Matt 4.23).
What
prophecy was fulfilled in these deeds?
“He cast
out the spirits with a word and healed all the sick, so that what was spoken
through the prophet Isaiah, who says: “He took upon Himself our infirmities and
bore our sicknesses” ” (Matt 8.16-17).
In the case
where a woman was healed of her illness, what gave strength to her touching the
garment of Christ?
“He said to
her: dare, daughter! Your faith has saved you; go in peace” (Luke 8.48).
Before
sending the twelve disciples into ministry, what power did Christ give them?
“Having
summoned the twelve, he gave them power and authority over all demons, and heal
from diseases, and sent them to preach the Kingdom of God and heal the sick” (Luke
9.1-2; see Matt 10.1,7-8, Luke 10.1,9).
What
miracle did the apostles perform after the day of Pentecost?
“Peter
said: I have no silver and gold; but what I have, I give you: in the name of
Jesus Christ of Nazareth, arise and walk. And taking him by the right hand, he
lifted him up; and suddenly his feet and knees were strengthened, and he jumped
up and began to walk, and went into the temple with them, walking and jumping
and praising God” (Acts 3.6-8).
What gift,
apart from all others, has God given to the church?
“And God
appointed some in the Church, first as apostles, and secondly as prophets,
thirdly teachers; further, to others he gave miraculous powers, also gifts of
healings, help, management, different languages” (1 Cor 12.28).
What advantage can a man of God enjoy when he finds himself on the bed of sickness?
“Is any of
you sick? let him call for the elders of the Church, and let them pray over
him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord” (Jac 5.14).
What assurance is given to those who ask in the will of God?
“And the prayer
of faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will raise him up; and if he has
committed sins, they will be forgiven him” (Jac 5.15).
Note.
Physical healing may not always benefit us or glorify God. Therefore, we must
be ready to pray like this: "Nevertheless, not My will, but Yours, be done"
(Luke 22.42). Paul was denied his request to have his infirmity removed, but
the Lord assured him, "My grace is sufficient for you" (2 Cor 12.9).
This incident does not mean that we should not use the simple healing and
health-giving means God has given, which include proper nutrition, clean air,
rest, exercise, and sunshine. Medical care with God's blessing contributes to
the restoration of health.
“Imaginary
kindness, a false idea of politeness, are the reasons for frequent visits to
the sick. Those who are seriously ill should not be visited. While the patient
is in dire need of silence and rest, visitors excite and tire him. Recovering
patients suffering from chronic diseases will be pleased and helpful to know that
they are remembered; a message of sympathy or a small gift will do more good
than a personal visit. It won't hurt the sick“ (E. White, "The Ministry of
Healing", p. 222).
FINAL WORD
A church
that has healings by the laying on of hands is not always the true church. But
only where the creed is biblical. As for the miracles that Christ performed,
this is also due to the fact that 2000 years ago there was no normal medicine.
Today, many of these miracles of the past are freely available to physicians. God
works both through doctors and through medicines, there are examples of this in
the Bible: clay (John 9.6), a layer of figs (2 Kings 20.7), etc.
