What makes a person holy?

“Sanctify them through Thy truth; Thy word is truth“ (John 17.17).

 

 

What does God want to bring all people to know?

“Who wants all people to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth” (1 Tim 2.4).

 

 

What must we do in order for the truth we have accepted to sanctify us?

“God from the beginning, through the sanctification of the Spirit and faith in the truth, chose you as salvation” (2 Thess 2.13).

 

 

What else is needed besides trusting the truth of God?

“According to the foreknowledge of God the Father, with sanctification from the Spirit (and faith), to obedience”(1 Pet 1.2).

 

 

What effect does obedience to the truth have on a person?

“By obedience to the truth through the Spirit, having cleansed souls to unfeigned brotherly love” (v.22).

 

 

What should be our attitude towards truth?

“Buy the truth, and do not sell wisdom and doctrine and understanding“ (Prov 23.23).

Note. We need to acquire the truth at any cost, sacrificing everything, and not part with it under any circumstances.
