THE GREAT PERIOD

In  Dan 8  describes the following vision of Daniel:

1. Aries, who became a great

2. Goat, which became extremely great

3. Horn, which grew tremendously

4. These authorities will continue 2300 days

 

The interpretation of the Angel Gabriel:

1. Aries means Medo-Persia  ( v. 20 )

2. Goat is Greece, and big rig - King Alexander the Great ( Dan 8.21 , 11.23 ). Four horns is four kingdoms formed after the death of Alexander The Great. After the battle of Ips in the Division of the Empire : 

Kasandr got Greece and Macedonia,

Ptolemy  -  Egypt,

Lezimah  -  most of Asia minor,

Selevek  -  the entire country from Syria to the Euphrates.

3. Horn, which grew tremendously, means Rome Pagan and Rome Papal  ( 8.9-12 ):

- This is the largest of all the kingdoms of the world

- He was after Greece

- He rebelled against the Christ and crucified Him

- He killed the Saints during the period of the papacy

- He threw the truth, law and Gospel to the Earth

2300 years   -  term of devastating power and violation of holy sites, the year in prophecies named “day”                                                 ( Ezek 4.6 ).

 

The Angel Gabriel in the second his appearance ( Dan ch. 9 ) explains this period:

"Seventy weeks  ( 70x7 = 490 years ) cut off  to your people", i.e. the Jews.

They are divided into:

7 weeks  ( 49 y. )       -  tuning Jerusalem  ( 457 - 408 B.C. )

62 weeks  ( 434 y. )   -  waiting for Christ ( 408 B.C. - 27 A.D. )

1 week  ( 7 y. )           -  (  27 A.D. fall  -  34 A.D. fall  )

“Last one week” adopted the "Covenant on many":

In the first half of her Christ carried out his Ministry, in the middle of it  ( 31 A.D. spring ) He was crucified and at the same time stopped the sacrifice. Until the end of the “week” was preaching to people the Jewish before beating Stefan stones. After this, the Jews have ceased to be God's people, and God turned to the Gentiles - other peoples.
