THE BIBLE AND SCIENTIFIC DISCOVERIES

 

The purpose of the Bible is open to people of the plan of salvation (1 John 5.13). However, the words in God's anticipated many discoveries for the future, which are made primarily in Christian countries: "But you, Daniel, shut  these words and seal up book this far; many will read it and be multiplied knowing "(Dan 12.4). Here are some of them.

 

In the field of geography

~ 500 B.D .-  the followers of the ancient Greek philosopher and mathematician Pythagoras came to the conclusion about the globularity of the Earth. "He is the one that sits on a round earth" (Is 40.32). In addition, the earth does not have backups and hanging "no matter what" (Job 26.7).

The ancient world - the Water Cycle in nature. "All the rivers run into the sea, but it does not becomes full: the place from which the rivers flow, they return to again flow" (Eccl 1.9).

1492-1493  -  the discovery of America by Columbus. "But the Earth helped the woman, and the land opened mouth and swallowed the river which the Dragon let out to graze its" (Rev 12.16).

17th century  - Galilei establishes that air has weight, and measure it. "It was the weight of the wind" (Job 28.25).

1812  -  Out fundamental work of Georges Cuvier, "discourse on the upheavals in the Earth's surface, which spoke of a sudden flooding of land by the sea. "And water on Earth has increased tremendously, so covered with all the high mountains under the whole heaven are; Fifteen cubits climbed over them water, and covered with mountains. And lost the life of all flesh, that moves on the Earth ... " (Gen 7.12-22).

1965  -  Robert Gentry has opened radio-rings, which are signs of creation of the Earth. "The word of God created the heavens and the spirit of his mouth all their host. For he said and done; He commanded and was (Ps 33.6, 9).

 

In astronomy

1515 - 1543  -  Support of the heliocentric system of Copernicus. "He extended North over emptiness, hung the Earth no matter what" (Job 26.7).

1687 - the publication of the law of universal gravitation and Newton. "I created the Earth and made it; I - My hands extended the heaven, and all the host of them gave the law I (Is 45.12).

The 19TH century proved the emergence of the world out of chaos. "The Earth was without form, and void, and darkness over the abyss" (Gen 1.2).

1853  - work of Ueivel about life on other planets (the same said of Giordano Bruno in 1584, in the infinity of the universe and worlds "). Today open dozens of planets outside the solar system. "Where were you when I felt the foundations of the Earth. When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy? " (Job 38.4, 7).

 

In the field of biology

Since ancient times - the life of the body - in the blood. "I will and your blood, which your life" (Gen 9.6). And in the year 1615 W.Harvey opens the blood circulation system: 2 laps, Atria, ventricles. "For straying in his eternal home, and ready to surround him on the street a mourner - until 1878 the silver chain, and not landed a gold armband, and crashed near the source of the nickname jug, and not hit the wheel of the well" (Eccl 12.5-6).

The 19th century:

Animals and people consist of the same chemical elements of which the Earth is. "And God said, let the land produce living soul based on work it" (Gen 1).

Are flights of birds. "Stork under the sky and knows their certain times, and a turtledove, and a swallow and the crane observe the time to fly" (Jer. 8.7).

British naturalist discovers ants that make the store throughout the winter. “Go to the ants, sloth, look at his actions, and be wise. No he has no head, no overseer, no master; but he makes his own bread in the summer, gathers its food at harvest time "(Prov 6.6-8).

Louis Pasteur established that infectious diseases are caused by bacteria. "Any act of leprosy, and SCALL ulcer" (Lev 14.54).

Gregor Mendel initiated the science of genetics. The "unperfect; in your book all day, scheduled for me when no one else was (Ps 139.16).

The 20th century naturalist  J.Huxley by computing proved impossibleness of origin of all living things from each other. "Further, thereafter ceasing to Worship heaven and Earth, the sea and springs of water" (Rev 14.7).

 

In the field of Linguistics

Anyway, today, linguists classify managed to almost all the languages of the world and prove and common origin. "Now the whole Earth had one language and the same words" (Gen 11.1).

When you read those facts, recalled the words of Scripture: "who does not know everything that the hand of the Lord has created these things?" (Job 12.9).
