Some Christians categorically reject the theory of the
Big Bang. They consider it as an attempt to explain the origin of the universe
without God. Others believe that it is possible, with the condition that God
himself caused this big explosion. The Lord, in His infinite wisdom and power,
could use a large explosion to create the universe, but He did not. We can
assert with absolute certainty that the Bible rejects this method. Here are
some contradictions between the Bible and The Big Bang Theory:
In Genesis, Chapter 1, God created the Earth before
the sun and the stars. And the Big Bang Theory requires it to be the other way
around. In Genesis 1 God creates the Earth, the sun, the Moon, the stars, the
vegetation, the animals, and mankind for six 24-hour days. The Big Bang Theory
speaks of billions of years. In Genesis 1 God created all matter with the help
of His word. The Big Bang Theory starts with the already existing matter, and never
explains the original source or cause of the matter.
In Genesis 1, God breathed life into Adam's immaculate
body. The theories of the big bang require billions of years and billions of
random circumstances to reach the first person; And it will never be able to
explain how the first microscopic form of life has been able to
"evolve" from a non-living atom. In the Bible, God is eternal, and
matter and the universe are not. There are different variants of the Big Bang
Theory, but in most of them the universe and/or matter is eternal. Genesis 1
assumes the existence of God: "At the beginning of God..." The true
purpose of the Big Bang Theory is to
disprove his existence.
