WHERE THE FAMILY COME FROM ?

@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@

What did God say when He created man?

“And the Lord God said, It is not good for the man to be alone” (Gen 2.18).

What, therefore, did God intend to do?

“Let us make him a helper fit for him” (ibid.).

Note. God gave man a helper who matched him and was equal to him. Each of them fulfilled the needs of the other.

Could Adam have found such a helper among the beings created by God?

“And the man gave names to all the cattle, and to the birds of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for man there was not found a helper like him” (Gen 2.20).

What did God do when there was no help for man?

“And the Lord God brought a deep sleep upon the man; and when he fell asleep, he took one of his ribs, and covered the place with flesh. And the Lord God made a wife out of a rib taken from a man, and brought her to the man” (Gen 2.21-22).

Note. This beautiful, meaningful and thought-provoking story brings a smile to the skeptics. God created man not in the likeness of lowly organized animals, but in His own likeness. He did not choose a life partner for him from among other beings, but created him from a man - from the same substance. And He did not take this substance from a man's feet so that a man would have no reason to humiliate or enslave a woman, and not from his head so that a woman could not dominate a man, but He took it from the side of a man, the place where the heart is located, the focus of affection and love. God did this so that a woman could be equal to a man, so that she would be next to him and help him in everything. Man was created strong, noble and majestic; a woman - weaker than he, loving and compassionate. How much more lofty and inspirational is this teaching than the theory that man descended from primates!

What did Adam say after God brought his wife to him?

“And the man said, Behold, this is bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh; she will be called a woman ("ishah"): for she was taken from a man ("ish")“ (Gen 2.23).

What great truth was then affirmed?

“Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother, and cling to his wife; and they shall be one flesh” (Gen 2.24).

With what words did Christ acknowledge that marriage is God's ordinance?

“So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore, what God has joined together, let no man separate” (Matt 19.6).

Note. Thus marriage was instituted in Eden before the fall of man. Like the Sabbath, it descends upon us like the dew of Eden, upon which the divine blessing still rests. Marriage was established not only to maintain social order and make a person happy, to protect him from casual relationships and to transmit truth, purity and holiness from family to family throughout the ages. Marriage was instituted to give a person true holy joy. When this Divine ordinance is recognized and a person obeys the principles on which it is based, then marriage becomes a true blessing for him, but when a person neglects these principles, then this turns into countless troubles. Thus, if a person obeys the rules of the Creator, then marriage becomes a great blessing for him, but if he rejects these rules, then marriage becomes a great curse for him.

What commandments of God keep the marriage relationship pure?

“Do not commit adultery“ (Ex 20.14).

“Do not covet your neighbor's wife” (v.17).

What advice about marriage is found in the New Testament?

“Let the marriage of all be honest and the bed undefiled; but fornicators and adulterers God will judge” (Heb 13.4).

Note. Many take marriage lightly and make it an object of ridicule. They think little about the fact that marriage is a Divine decree and instituted for a great purpose, they think little about its possibilities, about the fact that marriage can induce both to good and to evil. Therefore, such people do not understand the full responsibility and sacred duty of marriage. In Scripture, marriage often symbolizes the relationship between God and His people (Rom 7.1-4, 2 Cor 11.2, Оs 2.19-20, Rev 19.7).
