-There is a true, authentic biblical gift of speaking in tongues.
-God only chooses what gift to give. The gifts of God are given individually, as he sees fit (1 Corinthians 12).
-Not everyone gets the gift of speaking in tongues. This gift is just one of a long list of gifts and is located at the end of it (v. 27-31).
-Love is more important to God than speaking in tongues or prophecy (1 Corinthians 13.1-2).
-A sign that the person has attained the age of the Holy Spirit, is a loving heart, wishing to witness to Christ (v. 1.6-8).
-The gift of speaking in tongues is not exclusively a gift that allows believers to preach ourselves, but serves as a confirming sign for the edification of the unbelievers the Gospel (1 Cor. 14.1).
-Speaking in tongues implies real foreign language, this God in order to overcome the language barrier in the propagation of the Gospel (Acts 2.4-22).
- In 14-th chapter of the first letter to the Corinthians Paul has advocated a reasonable speech, rather than mindless mumbling (1 Cor 14.7-9). He gives the following instructions if you use in the Church speaking in tongues:
1) can say only one person. There should be no spontaneous surge when many start talking at the same time (v. 26-27);
2) at one liturgy should say no more than two, on the strength of three people
(ibid., v. 26-27);
3) For speaking in a foreign language must be the translator, so that all assembly of believers could benefit from and participate in worship (v. 28).
-The fullness of the Holy Spirit poured out on those who voluntarily and lovingly obeys the truth of God (Acts 5.32, John 14.15-16).
