The seal of God is a symbol of what
indicates a person who keeps all God's commandments and follows Christ, in
contrast to those who have the seal of the beast, those who follow tradition
and stereotypes, although they think that they serve God, but in fact are prey
of satan. It is this seal that is placed in the seventh chapter of Revelation.
However, the convert to Christianity does
not immediately receive this seal, the fullness of the Holy Spirit. This is a
long and long-term process. Before the seal of God, the believer is first given
the seal of the Holy Spirit, and this is not the same thing.
On the day of baptism, more precisely
before baptism with water at the time of the baptism of the Holy Spirit - a
covenant with God - the conversion of a person is sealed in the heart by the
Holy Spirit (Ephes 1.13-14, 4.30; 2 Cor 1.22). It (the Holy Spirit or the seal
of the Holy Spirit) is called a pledge, that is, something that must be worked
out or returned with a profit; if then in the heart there is no place for the
spirit of God, the person loses it. As a person studies the Bible and works on
himself together with God, for the sake of his own promised happiness he gets
rid of sins, big and small, overcoming trials (baptism by fire), shows people from
the world a personal example and preaches the Gospel, finally comes, into a
state of perfection and complete submission to the Lord and ceases to sin
(violate the commandments) altogether. He does not become a robot, he remains
himself, that is, a person, but without all those character traits and actions
that can destroy him. This is how he receives a sign - the seal of God. He who
received this seal is saved forever.
Of course, this is very difficult. The Bible
teaches us that there is not a single person on earth who does not sin (Rom
3:10, 23). Sometimes it takes years to eradicate sin alone. After all, it is
not only the one who does not kill who sins, but he breaks this commandment
when he offends someone or destroys his health with bad habits. But if a person
has a desire to correct himself, then, despite the fact that everyone sins,
because the descendants of Adam, they will still receive full righteousness
posthumously and, having been resurrected, will live in a new world. Remember
the thief from the cross (Luke 23.42-43).
It is quite another matter those who are
from the last generation and will meet Christ alive. Even during their
lifetime, the door of grace in the heavenly sanctuary will close, and the high
priest of Christ will no longer be there. And when Christ returns to earth,
these people should already be pure and blameless (Rev 4.5, Ezek 9.4),
eradicated all sins, and the very last - the sin of the tongue, as stated in
the third chapter of the Epistle of James. They achieved this thanks to a
zealous desire and efforts, as well as taking an example from Christ, who never
sinned, and there is nothing of the devil, that is, sin, in Him! (John 14.30)
Only those who have the seal of God can receive the "latter rain" -
the fullness of the Holy Spirit, similar to the day of Pentecost, to complete
the preaching of the Gospel on earth to all people without exception.
It is also important to know that in order
to receive God's seal, one must keep not five or nine, but all ten commandments
(James 2.10-11). The most important is the Sabbath commandment and the fact
that to celebrate THIS DAY, according to the Scriptures, and not the tradition
or innovations of the clergy. Whoever celebrates not this day of the week, but
some other, no matter whether it is Sunday or Friday or no day, God cannot
consider his own! Such a person knows God's will, but deliberately violates it.
The Sabbath celebration, by the way, is the
seal of God. Of course, the main thing in it is the pure character of Christ,
but the fact is that the seal always consists of three components:
Name - "Lord"
Title - "Creator"
Territory - "heaven and earth"
THEY ARE CONTAINED EXACTLY THE COMMANDMENT ABOUT SATURDAY. This is the only commandment that Adam and Eve still observed (Gen 2.2-3), and in which only in one God is called the Creator, and the Sabbath is a reminder of creation: “For in six days the Lord created the heavens and the earth, the sea and all that in them, and rested on the seventh day; therefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day and sanctified it ”(Ex 20.11).
