In
addition to the Sin offerings, Israel was supposed to bring back other victims,
namely:
a)
different burnt offering ( Lev 1.1-3,10,14)
b)
victim of shewbread ( Lev 2.1-2 ),
giving the cob ( Lev 2.12 ), libation of wine ( Lev 23.13 )
c)
different victims of peace ( Lev 3.1, 6.7,12 )
d)
victim service ( Lev 5.15, see Matt 5.23-24 )
The
daily sacrifice of the Lamb with the bread an offering and its drink, brought
in the morning and in the evening
(
Num 28.3-8 ).
Every
Saturday brought two lambs with an offering and its drink, bread in the morning
and in the evening ( Num 28.4, 9-10 ).
Special
sacrifices were required during the Sabbaths, annual holidays and annual
Sabbaths ( Num 28.11-31 ).
In
various cases, the Lord sent fire from heaven in approval of this ( Lev 9.24, 2
Par 7.1, Gen 4.4 ).
Aliens
and the pagans who are willing to serve the true God, had to obey the same laws
of sacrifices ( Num 15.27-31, 1 Sam 8.41-43,
Mal 1.11 ).
The
law of sacrifice was recorded in the Pentateuch.
The
act ended when Christ is the TRUE VICTIM, died on the cross:
"And
adopt a testament for many days, and in one half of the seven-years-period will
stop the sacrifice and offering"
( Dan 9.27 ).
"He took it from
the environment and nailing it to the cross" ( Col 2.14 ).
