WHAT WILL BE TRANSLATED INTO NEW JERUSALEM AND INTO A NEW EARTH

 

   

        

   Many people ask: will the achievements of mankind, for example, in the field of science, technology and culture, get into the new perfect world?

   The Bible definitely says YES! Of course, all this will not disappear as a result of any "zeroing" - neither knowledge, nor their results. About New Jerusalem it is said:

 

   The saved nations will walk in his light, and the kings of the earth will bring their glory and honor into him.

                                                                  Revelation 21.24

   This means that the city of New Jerusalem, in which there are many abodes and enough space for everyone (John 14.2), and a new re-created earth, on which there are no seas and oceans, but only smaller bodies of water (Rev 21.1, 22.1), so that there will be enough place to live for everyone, will be filled not only with the resurrected and living saved of the last time from all countries and ages, but also with the results of the creative labor of man, to which he was intended from the very creation (Genesis 2.15).

   What a person has achieved, if it is not a sin and not reprehensible (Rev 21.27), may well enter the new world and take a place there both on the earth, adorned with a beautiful nature not damaged by sin, and in the capital of the Earth and the entire Universe - the city of New Jerusalem, unknown to mankind until now and not yet created by people and available only in science fiction, which also served people as their goals, a multi-tiered city, the length, width and even height of which are equal - 12,000 stadia (Rev 21.16). If we take stage 1, an ancient unit of measurement that can be different, from 172.5 to 230.3 meters, for example 1 stage = 184 m, then 12000x0.184 = 2160 km is the size of the city in our units.

   It may be objected that it is written:

   “The Lord knows the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain” (1 Cor. 3.20).

   “For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and I will reject the understanding of the prudent. Where is the sage? where is the scribe? where is the co-questioner of this age? Hasn't God turned the wisdom of this world into madness? " (1 Cor 1.19-20).

   A similar saying is found in the Old Testament:

   “Thus says the Lord: let not the wise boast in his wisdom, let not the mighty boast in his strength, let not the rich boast in his riches. But the one who boasts boasted that he understands and knows Me, that I am the Lord, doing mercy, judgment and righteousness on earth; for this alone is pleasing to Me, says the Lord ”(Jer 9.23-24).

 

   What does all this mean ? That all the knowledge and achievements of human society do not mean anything and go to dust? Not at all ! The speech in these texts is only about collapse and destruction.

those who do not want to know God and even often dispute His very existence, but rely only on their knowledge and mind, independently determining both the values ​​and norms of morality, and the attitude towards human life itself. These are not only theoretical scientists, but also politicians, representatives of big business and court art workers. All of them are mentioned in the prophecy of John (Rev 18.3,11,22; 17.9) as "kings, merchants, artists and wise men." This means SPECIFIC people who did not know God or did evil, thinking that they were serving God, and therefore destroyed their souls. But this does not mean that the achievements of human society as a whole will be lost. And, of course, among the saved there will be ordinary people, and representatives of science and art, and God-fearing rulers, and even representatives of business, whom their business related to money, nevertheless, did not prevent them from serving God and following Him, doing good to their neighbors. in the form of help and charity, living and working honestly. In addition, the absence of a complete zeroing of human memory will guarantee that people will not forget the history of sin on earth and all its consequences; this will guarantee that it will never be repeated during all infinite eternity!

 

   By the way, what are these “kings” mentioned in Revelation 21.24? Indeed, as mentioned above, not all monarchs and presidents will be saved, but on the contrary, many will perish, rejecting the truth. It can be assumed that these are not only representatives of the authorities, but also the world of money and the world of sciences, and of course people of the arts - writers and poets, painters and sculptors, actors, musicians, keepers of folk traditions. And also these are ordinary non-book people of different professions who have received an excellent opportunity for education and development in the new world, because they also have something to bring there. All of them can be identified by the following texts from John and Peter:

   And to His God and Father who made us kings and priests, glory and dominion forever and ever, amen.

                                    Revelation 1.6

   But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy people, people taken as an inheritance, in order to proclaim the perfections of Him who called you out of darkness into His wonderful light.

                                    1 Peter 2.9

   In other words, all the saved are called kings, as well as priests, who will find their home and happiness in the new earth and not only, but will also share this with the non-fallen worlds who will visit.
