SPEAKING IN TONGUES is a sign of fulfillment of the Holy Spirit, which manifests itself in the ecstatic speeches (language of the Holy Spirit), are not understood speaking for themselves, but understandable only to God. Most Pentecostals believe that without speaking in tongues may not be the baptism of the Holy Spirit.

- There is a true, authentic biblical gift of speaking in tongues.

- God only chooses what gift to give. The gifts of God are given individually, as he sees fit (1 Cor 12).

- Not everyone gets the gift of speaking in tongues. This gift is just one of a long list of gifts and is located at the end of it (v. 27-31).

- Love is more important to God than speaking in tongues or prophecy (1 Cor 13.1-2).

- A sign that the person has attained the age of the Holy Spirit, is a loving heart, wishing to witness to Christ (v.1,6-8).

- The gift of speaking in tongues is not exclusively a gift that allows believers to preach ourselves, but serves as a confirming sign for the edification of the unbelievers the Gospel (1 Cor 14.1).

- Speaking in tongues implies real foreign language, this God in order to overcome the language barrier in the propagation of the Gospel (Acts 2.4-22).

- In 14-th chapter of the first letter to the Corinthians Paul has advocated a reasonable speech, rather than mindless mumbling (1 Cor 14.7-9). He gives the following instructions if you use in the Church speaking in tongues :

1) Can say only one person. There should be no spontaneous surge when many start talking at the same time (v. 26-27);

2) At one liturgy should say no more than two, on the strength of three people (ibid., v.26-27);

3) For speaking in a foreign language must be the translator, so that all assembly of believers could benefit from and participate in worship (v.28).

- The fullness of the Holy Spirit poured out on those who voluntarily and lovingly obeys the truth of God (Acts 5.32, John 14.15-16).
