1(A Psalm of David.) LORD, who shall
abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill?
2He
that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in
his heart.
We are
living in the last days, the end of the world and the Second Coming of Christ
are near. We believe in this, and there are many people who do not believe in
this, but many of them, even atheists, including former ones, of any age, can
ask: "And then what, after this life?" A person should be in the
Kingdom of Heaven, this is normal, this is how it should be. And another
question: "Who will get there?" It is no coincidence that the
beginning of the psalm speaks of a mountain. The world thinks that "there
are many roads to the top of the mountain". And therefore everyone -
Catholics, Orthodox, Muslims, and Buddhists - will receive salvation. But they
are deceiving themselves. God said that only those who fulfill certain
conditions will receive salvation, and these conditions are described, not in
the Koran, not in the Book of Mormon, etc., but in the Bible!
And it is
not enough to just read and know these conditions, you also need to fulfill
them. Of course, faith is needed, but not faith alone. There is nothing secret
or known only to the chosen ones in the biblical texts about this, everything
is written in simple words and is understandable to everyone. For example, John
in Revelation speaks about faith in Jesus Christ (without Him there is no
salvation), and about observing all the moral commandments, but only ALL 10
commandments, not 5, 8 or 9!
Jesus
solved the problem of sin and punishment for it by His sacrifice. We sin, and
it is not easy, but we must achieve the state of such people who do not sin (even
mentally), but do the truth. The Spirit of God will help everyone who wants it.
After all, in the new world there will live people without sins, perfect
people!
They do not
commit sin even with their tongue; and James writes that he who does not sin with
his tongue does not sin at all. In addition, such people cannot have dissolute
friends who commit terrible sins, of which there are so many in the modern
world, they must distance themselves from such. And those who have the Lord in
their hearts are their true friends.
Such people
are always ready to help those who are in trouble. And if they made a promise,
they fulfill it, even if it was given to a very bad person (but some believe
that promises to bad people are worth nothing).
They are
also not greedy for money, they do not give others loans at interest (by the
way, in the Pentateuch it is forbidden to give a Jewish brother a loan at
interest, however, today Israeli banks do not comply with this ban), and they
do not take bribes to do something bad or illegal.
And, of
course, the people described are always like this, every day, and not just
sometimes.
May God help us become such people !
