Researchers have scientifically proven, that there is a difference
in the brain function of believers and atheists,
and that religious faith can have a beneficial effect on a person.
It makes one calmer and less afraid of making mistakes.
Michael Inclicht believes that certainly excessive worry is harmful, as
you can simply be paralysed by fear.
At the same time, he warns against the possibility of misinterpreting
his work. He believes, mistakenly, that believers are not afraid of mistakes
and do not reflect on them. Fear, he goes on, has a positive effect: it is this
feeling that shakes us when we make errors; if mistakes do not bother us at
all, there will be no desire to correct them.
In fact, all this should be approached in this way :
1. Belief in God implies moral norms from which it is inadmissible to
deviate. This morality comes from above, as affirmed not only by the Bible but
also by the philosopher Kant in his «Groundwork of the Metaphysics of Morals».
2. The violation of commandments is called sin, and all people commit
sins, as they are driven to it by their inherent sinful nature. The same can
approximately be said of mistakes.
3. Nevertheless, one should not fear committing them, because God is
ready to forgive a sinner on the condition that they commit to the goal of not
sinning any more and work on themselves towards this aim. A person cannot reach
perfection (cease to sin) on their own, but only with God's help; however, they
must do their part in this endeavour themselves.
4. A perfect person also does not experience the fears mentioned above,
but should have only the fear of God - the hatred of evil and the desire not to
grieve God, Who loves man and will do everything to help him. However, man must
move forward on his path, that is, move his feet, by himself.
5. Faith in a new world on a renewed earth undoubtedly brings man not harm but benefit, as it gives life meaning. But for this, it is necessary to abandon the unscientific theories of the «big bang» and «evolution», and above all, the atheistic madness.
