Astrology is an assistant and a servant of astronomy (Kepler).

Despite the fact that this science is inherently primitive, at first Astrology played a useful role in contributing to astronomy and providing money to support the case... A man who claims to be able to determine the location of heaven shines to assess human identity and behavior and to predict future aspirations and events... The methods used in astrology and the interpretation of horoskopes are based on ideas which most astronomers and other scientists recognize as subjective and unacceptable (Ronan, Professor of Cambridge).

Astrology is a disease, not a science. It is a tree that, under the shadow of which, is superstitions of all sorts (Rambam).

In ancient times, people did not know that Earth to other planets and stars were vast distances. Today, when these distances can be computed, we see how tiny the gravitational and other influences of long-haul planets and even more distant stars are being exerted. To imagine that the effects of stars and planets can, in a minute of birth, somehow determine our future - simply a mistake (statement by 192 eminent scientists, of whom 19 are the Nobel Laureates).
