Christ
taught that God's Law is immutable.
Therefore,
the Sabbath commandment and unchangeable.
Christ
taught that "Saturday for man" (Mark 2.27), i.e. for all people.
He
kept the Sabbath in accordance with His upbringing. "And He came to
Nazareth, where He was brought up, and, as usual, into the synagogue on the
Sabbath day, and stood up to read" (Luke 4.16).
He
taught that you can do on Saturday works of charity or good for the sake of
helping others :
"Which
of you, having a sheep if it will fall into the pit on Saturday, he will take
it and lift it out? How many people is better than a sheep? So you can in
Saturday to do good" (Matt 12.11-12).
But
this does not mean that Saturday could be the ordinary working day, or we must
comply with the other day.
Dramatized
this destruction of Jerusalem and of the second flight of Christians (70 AD), Jesus
taught them to pray to escape no matter what happens on Saturday, knew that the
Christian era it would continue. So after the crucifixion and resurrection of
Christ to His disciples follow on Saturday and prayed about the day of the
flight of 40 years (Matt 24.20).
Christ
commanded to convey His teachings (including the Sabbath), to ALL PEOPLES (Matt
28,19-20).
Conclusion:
there are 3 commands on Saturday :
-
observe the commandment IV (not do hard work)
-
be in communion with God
- it is possible and
necessary to do good
